Cadbury responds to row over beef in chocolates, says India products 100% veg

Cadbury also said negative posts could damage their image and asked its consumers to verify the facts related to their products before sharing them.

Cadbury has issued clarification after a screenshot that claims that the company uses gelatin in some of their products into viral on social media during the weekend, asking consumers to verify the facts before sharing.

“The screen of the screen distributed in tweets is not related to Mondelez / Cadbury products produced in India. All products are manufactured and sold in 100% vegetarian India. Green dot on the wrapper indicates it,” said Cadbury on Sunday.

Cadbury also said the negative post could damage its image. “As you imagine well, the negative post like this, damaging consumer confidence in our respected and loved brands. We ask our customers to verify the facts related to our products before sharing them further.”

Clarification by the British multinational company, owned by Mondelez International, came after hundreds of users on Twitter called for Cadbury product boycotts. Their boycott calls come after screenshot from a website that says that if a product contains gelatin as a material, it means it comes from beef, shared widely on social media.

“Only #BoycottCadbury won’t do it. Must be punished for playing with religious beliefs and state law (displaying green dots in the wrapping) inspecting an animal source added,” said a Twitter user.

“@DairyMilkin can you clarify the emulsify used in plants or animal-based products based on evidence. Because @fssaindia clarified in RTI that they did not have a method to check whether the investigators were vegetarian or not,” other users tweeted.

“Is this true @Cadburyuk? If yes, Cadbury is worthy of being prosecuted for forcing Hinduism to consume Halal certified beef products. Our ancestors & teachers sacrificed their lives but did not receive eating beef. But the ruler’s” independence “posts have enabled our Dharma Violated with impunity, “Academic activists and Rights based in Delhi Madhu Purnima Kishwar also tweeted.

More and more people share screenshots and comment on this problem, Cadbury Dairy Dairy tweeted clarification and respond to Twitter users. Some users even show that the screenshot distributed is the Australian Cadbury website.
