During the Sunday Ka Vaar episode, Bigg Boss OTT host Karan Johar decreased heavily on Raqesh Bapat for creating “a sexist” comment during a discussion during a nomination task. a couple of days back, Raqesh and Nishant, who were saved from the nominations, got the facility to offer an obstacle to 2 nominated contestants during an immunity task. in the week Shamita Shetty, Neha Bhasin, Pratik Sehajpal, Moose Jattana and Divya Agarwal were nominated. During their discussion, Raqesh said that Pratik should tend the disadvantage as “men are stronger than women in terms of strength.” His remark irked Moose and Pratik who blasted Raqesh for being “sexist.”
Karan also objected to Raqesh’s statement and asked him for an evidence for an equivalent . In his defence, Raqesh said that he was only talking about men’s physical strength which Pratik was somewhere physically stronger than the ladies within the house.
However, Karan interjected, saying, “I’m sorry to mention that was just sexist. I even have to call it out. it had been sexist. Let me tell you, my dear, if push involves shove and that i hope it never does, Shamita (Shetty) can kick your a** and Neha (Bhasin) can kick your a**. And Divya (Agarwal) can kick everybody’s a**.”
Karan reminded Raqesh that they were “living during a woke world” where saying such thing was unacceptable, not under his surveillance a minimum of . He further said that he wants Raqesh to reflect thereon . To which, Raqesh said, “I do reflect thereon and my intention wasn’t that, honestly. I sleep in a house filled with women, i do know what it’s , what strength is and where it comes from.”
Karan also said that he doesn’t want to cancel Raqesh for creating that comment and needs to offer him an opportunity to find out from it. “I don’t want to be a neighborhood of the cancel culture. I even have had tons of men tell me, “Oh, you’re not man enough!” And, i would like to inform you that this stuff are hurtful. But I don’t want to cancel those people that say it. i would like to form you (Raqesh) understand through this show that this is often wrong. You accept it and know it and advance .”
Karan also asked Shamita Shetty to elucidate what’s happening between her and Raqesh as viewers are really annoyed by their on-and-off fights and patch-ups. Raqesh and Shamita are grabbing eyeballs thanks to their growing closeness inside the Bigg Boss OTT house. They both have admitted to having feelings for every other. While Shamita has expressed that she is sort of serious about him, Raqesh was heard telling Neha Bhasin that he wasn’t able to get into any relationship immediately as he got divorced from his ex-wife Ridhi Dogra only a year ago.
“First of all, what I’m doing here in terms of (showing) my feelings towards him, I’m literally pushing myself out of my temperature because doing all this ahead of the cameras is alien to me. But I genuinely like him. Maybe we were forced to be with one another within the beginning due to the connection happened. He has also said tons of things to me that ‘our souls connected’ and ‘you stood by me sort of a rock.’ i assumed it had been mutual on the other hand suddenly he changed within the last one week. I don’t know if it’s because people called him spineless or henpecked. I feel he’s become very different with me and sometimes to an extent of being very arrogant and insensitive,” Shamita told Karan.
When Karan asked Shamita if Raqesh broke her heart, a visibly emotional Shamita said, “Yes, but the matter is that he doesn’t understand that he broke my heart and he’s the sole one who can mend it. He feels that if he maintains a distance from me i will be able to be better but that on behalf of me , is an escapist attitude.”
Later, Karan indirectly told Shamita that perhaps Raqesh “wants out” and doesn’t need this connection or love. “Either you understand that perhaps he doesn’t want this or he himself makes it clear. This track has become indulgent now.”
