Are you applying for a Schengen Visa? Get ready to wait longer than expected

The duration for the Schengen visa can rise to almost a month due to high demand. Recently, a doctor based in Delhi lost Lakh Rupee at the hotel and allegations of flight cancellation because he did not get his visa (expected) time. He traveled to Paris to attend a medical conference with his team. But he finally lost a very large amount because of the cancellation of the final moment.
Well, this is not the only case. Some people are waiting for their visa because the visa processing time has increased unlike before. According to the report, there are no promises available (to apply for visa applications) for European countries until the last June.
While usually the visa processing time (minimum) is 15 working days, a number of people say that they have not received their passports even after a month, as informed by the Indian Joint Secretary Travel Agent Anil Kalsi.
He further said that passengers lost a lot of money because flight tickets and hotel confirmation need to be submitted with applications for visas. And because the process takes so long and the passport does not return to the past, people finally pay a large cancellation fee.
On May 19, the Swiss Embassy in India, told the travel agent: “With direct effects and due to the high volume of visa applications, the Swiss VFS visa center and the Swiss Embassy in New Delhi will only receive visa applications, with visa applications, with Delhi, with Delhi, with Delhi, with Delhi, with Delhi, with Delhi, with Delhi, with Delhi, With New Delhi, with New Delhi, with New Delhi, with New Delhi, the date of the trip, which does not fall in the next 15 days from the date of submission of the application at the VFS center throughout India. This applies to all short -term tourism visa applications. ”
A Spokesman for VFS Global told Toi: “We experienced a high volume of visa applications coupled with the availability of limited gathering promises and visa processing schedules that stretch from India. On average, VFS Global receives around 20,000 applications from India in one day close to the volume recorded during the pre-Pandemic peak season. ”
This situation is expected to be worse because the Danish Embassy in New Delhi also temporarily stopped expecting a new visa promise at VFS because of “lack of staff, absence and unexpected improvements” in the number of applications.
