Japan finds new mutation of Covid’s Delta variant
A group of Japanese researchers said a replacement mutation of the Covid-19 Delta variant had been discovered for the primary time within the country, local media reported on Tuesday.
The research team, led by professor Hiroaki Takeuchi at Tokyo Medical and Dental University Hospital, said that the mutation was found when a patient infected with the Delta variant visited the institute earlier this month, reports Xinhua press agency .
