Prague: World War II bombs left early Friday in East Czech City Ostrava after a man tried to cut it during the excavation of work, kill him and hurt the others. The police said on Twitter dead people might mistake the bomb for old waste pipes. "He uses a corner grinder to cut the metal and bombs out," he added. "We can confirm it is the air bomb explosion," said EVA Michalikova police spokesman told AFP. Local media said a 49-year-old man died while a 31-year-old man suffered a light head injury.  The police evacuated around 50 people from home within 300 meters (yards) of the site. Ammunition and World War II bombs are often found in the Northeast Czech Republic where the Red Army advanced in the spring of 1945.
