Karachi: CCTV footage showing a security guard kicking a pregnant woman outside an apartment building in Pakistan has triggered anger in a neighboring country, a media report said.
The police arrested the security guard after he was seen kicking the woman with his boots. He was found unconscious outside the building.
The closed circuit television camera (CCTV) from the incident showed that the security guards argued with the woman before slapping it. The woman fell to the ground and kept trying to get up, but the guard kicked her face, the recording showed, according to media reports.
In his complaint, the woman, who was identified as there, said that she worked as a servant in an apartment building in Noman Grand City located in Gulistan-E-Jauhar Block 17 in Karachi.
According to him, at 3 am on August 5, he asked his son, Sohail, to send food to him. However, when he tried to enter the apartment, the carrier of the Union Office – Abdul Nasir, Adil Khan, and Mahmood Khalil – forbade him to enter.
“When I went down to ask, Adil was angry and began to harass me. Then, he asked the security guard to defeat me. I was 5-6 months pregnant. When he hit me, I became unconscious because of pain,” he said.
The police have registered FIR under section 354 (attacks or criminal strengths to a woman with the intention to make an angry simplicity), 337ai (involved in any action with the intention intention to make anger simplicity).
Chairman of Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, took awareness about this issue, giving instructions for actions against guards. “How do the guards have the courage to raise their hands to the woman and become violence?” Sindh CM was asked.
The investigation has begun and the guard has been detained.
A total of 157 women were kidnapped, 112 women were victims of physical attacks, and 91 women were raped throughout Pakistan in June, according to a report.
