Breaking News! Dash and Lily’s Season 2 was canceled on Netflix. The Netflix original romantic teen drama series has been canceled after just one season. Dash and Lily helped us get back our Christmas during the holidays during the Pandemic in 2020. Dash and Lily would always be remembered as a story of a whirlwind romance series that was canceled after just one season on Netflix.
Created by Joe Tracz, the series is a Netflix original Teen drama of the romance genre is based on the novel Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn. The Production Label of Stranger Things and the upcoming series Shadow and Bone – Label 21 is the production house of this series.

The official status of the series second season stands canceled by Netflix as of now. Although it took almost a year to decide the series fate Netflix has decided to cancel Dash and Lily after just one season.
Had the series continued, what would it have looked like?
As we know that the story is based on the novel by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn, we can assume that the next season of the show Dash and Lilly would have been based on the same. The story was expected to be picked up after a year of where it was left in season 1, where Dash and Lilly would be still together. Once again the scene is happy and it would have been the holiday season. Among all the holiday celebrations the book suggests that Lilly is worried about the declining health of her Grandfather after he suffers a heart attack, because of which Lilly is unable to get her Christmas spirit up. So Dash and Lilly’s brother Langston would make it their mission to help her cheer up and get her Christmas spirit back on.
If we follow the book we can expect that all would be well in paradise as Lilly wouldn’t have moved abroad with her parents and would have shared a romantic year with Dash. What would also have been interesting to see would have been the budding romance between Dash’s best friend Boomer and his ex-grlfriend Sofia.
Cast and crew we would have expected to see return in season 2 of the series :
If we go by the book the characters that we would have been able to see are Austin Abrams as Dash, Midori Francis as Lily, Dante Brown as Boomer, Troy Iwata as Langston, Agneeta Thacker as Priya, and Keane Marie as Sofia. We could have also been able to see more guest appearances by the musicals Stars The Jonas Brothers who also have featured in Season 1 of the show.
Dash and Lily Season 2 release date canceled:
According to sources the authors of the book have written the part 3 of the series on the sets of the show and were eager to make a season 2 and 3 of the series. Since the series has been canceled, even talking about the release date makes us sad. Dash and Lily would always be encrypted in our minds and we would eagerly be waiting if in the future the streamer does decide to bring back the show.
